Empowering a new generation of African leaders.

E-Mentoring

  • over view

One of the greatest challenges faced by youths in Africa is lack of the right kind of mentors that would inspire, encourage and motivate them to be their best. Many young people are often left to figure out everything about life without the help and guidance of an adult of experienced person.

Our E-mentoring programme provides youths with mentors who are experienced in the journey of life and have a passion to help young people avoid the pitfalls that some of them have experienced in their lives. Our e-mentoring programme lasts for a minimum duration of  4months and a maximum duration of 1year.

  • What is a mentor?

The word mentor is traced back to Greek mythology when Odysseus had to go to war and asked Mentor to guide and look out for his son Telemachus in his absence.
A mentor is an adult who provides young people with support, counsel, friendship, reinforcement, and a constructive example. Mentors are good listeners, they are caring and have a passion to help young people realize their potentials and to capitalize on their strengths.

  • What is E-mentoring?

E-mentoring is a mentoring relationship conducted via the internet. Our E-mentoring programme is conducted using E-mail exchanges between mentors and mentees. Our e-mentoring programme shares the goal of a face-to-face mentoring programme, providing a trusting and reliable relationship between the mentor and mentee.

  • How it works.
