Within You is the Power

Is an online Leadership Training and Development programme that helps youths across Africa activate and Develop their leadership skills and live to the peak of their potentials.  

The programme curriculum is uniquely designed to help youths develop in three principal organizing themes of self realization, character, skill and competency. This Training programme is aimed at helping young men and women  discover their inward powers of mind and bring them to expression wisely, to build up character and to find within themselves that wondrous Self, which is their real self, with the ability to achieve beyond human comprehension.

This programme also aims at building a new breed of African Leaders who are mentally and physically competent for the challenges of leadership. We are mindful of the fact that many young people are getting involved in community development projects but still lack some basic training and understanding that would empower them to work effectively. Within You is the Power provides such a learning experience for youths carrying out community development programmes.

Youths on the programme are presented with a Personal Growth Plan (PGP) that focuses their attention on a definite purpose and also serves as their road map to success.

We also identify that in the developmental stage of any young person, there is a need for guidance, to this end, youths’ on the programme are provided with E-mentors who guide them throughout the training programme, providing them with professional guidance and advice that would facilitate their learning and growth experience.

 Within You is the Power uses an interactive learning module that reqiures youths on the programme to read  a set of books books, carry out practical assignments and submit feedbacks.

REQUIREMENTS

Training materials for this programme is in soft copy format (e-books), to this end we suggest that you make provisions as to how you will have access to a computer system for a minimum period of an hour everyday. You can achieve this by talking to a friend, Company or any older person who has a computer system to grant you access to make use of their system at a convenient time. Because we are aware of the challenges you might face, we have made all the books for the training programme available on a compact disc (CD) which will be sent to you upon enrollment. GRADING SYSTEM

Certificates are issued at the end of the training programme, we employ a strict grading system for all our trainees. It is important that you understand the grading system so you don't run into problems with your points.

Everyone that comes on the programme has a total of 100 points. However you will drop points based on the following grounds:

(1). Failure to submit answers on or before deadline stipulated, you lose 1 point for everyday you delay.

(2). You will lose 1/2(half) point for failure to meet word character specification for your answers.

(3). You will lose 1/2 point for failure to indicate your name, and the title of the book you are answering at the top of your answer booklet before beginning to answer the question.

(4). You will lose 1/2 point for each question not indicated before the answer.

GRADE REMARKS

90-100 points Excellent

80- 89 points Credit

65 - 79 points Satisfactory

50 - 64 points Average

49points below Below expectation

You shall be graded based on your level of commitment to the programme, and your certificate shall indicate your level of performance and commitment to the programme, so we advice that you take the training very seriously.
 

A trainee that goes ahead to carryout a community development activity in his locality, would gain 10 points to bust his/her grades on the programme. A Community Development project can be anything, from organizing a seminar or staging a campaign to raise awareness, to workshops or sinking a well in your community. Your community development activity can be anything that contributes to human development in your community.
